"Ni är rätt kassa på att skriva blogg i communityn..."
"You're kind of lousy at using the blog in the community..." I remember Peder Karlsson of the Real Group saying that (not those exact words, but something like that) to some of us when we were rehearsing for a gig a few weeks ago. We were going to sing at a dinner for graduate students in Luleå and Peder happened to be in Piteå at the time, so he coached us when we where rehearsing my arrangement of Alice Cooper's School's out. Peder has also been one of the teachers in the vocal group-class I've been taking at Luleå University these past 6 months. Yesterday we had our final concert and today we had our last meeting with all of the students and the Real Group. And it's been amazing! So now I owe it to my teachers to write a blog entry! :)
It's hard to express what these classes have meant to me and alot of the other students that I've talked to. We've been working for some time now, singing, socializing, organizing, taking in alot of valuable information... and now we've done our final concert, at least in these 2 vocal groups! During our last meeting today, it all just came back to me, what we've been doing, what we've learned. And the joy of it, I could see so many joyful faces in the classroom, especially when our teachers sang for us. At that moment it felt like, "Wow! This is something unique!" Of course it was a bit sad saying bye to everyone but the happiness was the strongest feeling. And it has been staying with me the whole day, in a way that makes me certain that I can "live" on these experiences for a long time.
I'll write a bit more in a day or so. Got a dinner to go. So, for now, a humble thank you to everyone who's been involved in the classes in Piteå!
